So I give up on trying to make Jayden take naps during the day. If he takes one, well then, he takes one, if not, oh well. He refused to take a nap today. The one nap I got him down for earlier today was maybe 30 mins at most. The brief nap he took after he ate while mommy and daddy was eating was like 15 mins or so. I say this because I nursed him like always at 8pm, and then when I laid him in the crib, it was immediately lights out. Turned on his soothing crib sea animal thingy, then I turned on the vaporizer, and he was zonked. We shall see how well he sleeps tonight.
Last night he didn't wake until sometime around 6am!!! I was relieved because I could nurse him. I was REALLY full.
He must have been tired. He's played ALL day long. With mama, dadda, grandpa, babbled to two of his uncles and grandma. He was practicing trying to crawl, and zooming around in his car walker. I'd say he's had a pretty eventful day. Good thing because that means he sleeps better. I try, key word, try to keep him in his crib from 8pm-8am, when he's done nursing at 8pm, with the exception of his 10pm feeding, awake or asleep, and his early morning typically 5am feeding. At least he gets a 12 hour stretch asleep.
They say babies need about 14-16 hours of sleep a day to not be sleep deprived. I'm not sure I believe this. He seems to do really good with his 12 hour nightly stretch and a half an hour nap here or there. Anyone have any input on this?
In any case, bubby bear and I have a LONG day tomorrow. WE have to go pick my check up, since Scott and I changed banks this week, I have to actually go to the branch that we opened our account in to deposit my check (it's a credit union, trying to establish a portfolio to get a better home loan deal.) We will be slowly move all of our accounts over.
After that, we will make our way to KMART, then to Babies R Us, then to Walmart, then Kohls, and finally Target. (I chose them in the order of the furthest out to home.)
In any case, my show Grey's Anatomy is on, and I missed the first 10 mins. Ugh. =( So I'm gonna go pay better attention to it. Not that I haven't lately, but the ending is going to be good!
Talk to ya'll later.
