Morning Adventures through Breakfast....

Every morning Jayden and I have the same routine. Mommy wakes up, sneaks down stairs, starts her coffee, and goes about starting her morning routine. I get Jayden's breakfast out and ready, get the breast pump ready to go, I get my breakfast of Oatmeal going. I stock the food, and rotate it, I stock the diapers and diaper bag in case we have to go somewhere that way it's ready to go. I prepare for the day. Turn on the news, enjoy a few sips of my coffee in silence watching the news. I always seem to catch it as the weather is coming on.

Anyways, I go back upstairs and my sweet little man is talking to himself and his stuffed animals.

Today was no different. Until I attempted to put him in the high chair that is. It takes him about 20 mins when I take him out of his crib to want to eat. So he typically plays with his toy in his high chair, while I finish eating and making his food.

The little stinker figured out how to take his toy off the little suction cup thingy that holds it to the high chair. It's okay, it's meant to come on and off. He then rolls it around on his high chair, and drops it. The first time, I'm like no big deal, I pick it up and put it back into the suction cup base holder. He then repeats this a total of 5 times. I'm sitting here asking myself how in the world did it take 5 times for me to notice that he was playing the mommy pick up game?

I was done eating and pumping away, and getting ready to feed him. Well, apparently he had pooped in that small amount of time. He refused to eat. So I changed his diaper. Than he ate just fine. It occurred to me half way through feeding him, that he's done this before. Apparently my son does not like to eat in a dirty diaper. I don't blame him, I wouldn't want to eat, and couldn't eat comfortably in my own poop. Could or would you want to? So mental note, always check diaper before feeding.

PS I'm loving how easy these cloth diapers are. He can't figure out how to undo them! lol. Yeah, he has now figured out how to undo his disposable diapers. lol.

OH, I forgot the WORST part. While changing his diaper, that by the way was a massive poop, went clear up his back and almost out of his diaper, he decided as I was wiping him to reach and grab some of his poop and play with it!!!! OMG! Gross. Did I mention how like his dad he is? About a week ago, maybe a little longer he found his wee wee. I don't know If I had mentioned this or not, but every time we give him a bath he reaches down to his wee and plays with himself! lol. I keep going yes son, you are a boy. You are just like your daddy. lol.

In any case, I finally got a nice clean butt, and all, put a nice clean diaper on. Cleaned up his poop mess. Cleaned him up. Got him ready, and put him back in the high chair with his bib on.

You would have thought this would have been enough adventure for one day. No, apparently not.

If you recall yesterday's blog I told ya'll he decided to steal his spoon to attempt to feed himself. Well, today not only did he steal his spoon again, and try to feed himself again, but when he couldn't and he got good and ticked off, he decided to throw his spoon. Oh how fun. Wheat cereal, with breast milk and peaches went flying EVERYWHERE!

Oh the fun doesn't stop there. I was cleaning up his messes, and finished feeding him. Let him take 6 ounces of breast milk in his bottle, and cleaned up breakfast and put everything away. I went to get him out of his high chair, and put him in his walker. I put him in, let him take off, and then walked to the sink to finish some dishes.

The stinker thought it would be funny to ram me in the legs. OUCH! Not once, not twice, not even three times. Nope he did it a total of 6 times! Each time he laughed hysterically. I kept telling him, ouch that hurts momma. He seemed to laugh even more.

So tell me, did my son skip ahead to the terrible twos? Or am I in deep doo doo if you know what I mean?

I can only imagine what the rest of today is going to bring.

He finally slept good last night. Slept from 8pm-8am, and only woke at 530am to nurse. We all finally got the sleep we have needed after a month and a half of barely any sleep. So apparently baby boy is feeling better today.

Oh the joys of motherhood. And they say this is not a full time job. I'd like to see one of THEM do it. WE seriously should get paid.

I still have massive amounts of laundry to do, some vacuuming to do, and dishes left. Today is my only day for house work since I will be busy the rest of the week. In any case. I have to go see what little man is whinning about. Talk to ya'll later!
