Just another Typical Tuesday and Crazy start to a Wednesday!

So since, I didn't get to post last night, here is last nights post.

Tuesday, really was mundane. Nothing special happened, nothing out of the ordinary.

Jayden just decided to work on some more of his crawling, and at night he was REAL fussy, starting at dinner. Figured out, it's is teeth bothering him.

He finally went to sleep with relative ease. So that was good. He slept until 6:40am. I'm really happy he's sleeping better. I hope it lasts!

I'm really excited because the marriage group at our church starts next week! YAY! I'm excited to be growing with my hubby spiritually!

Jayden will be 5 months old on the 26th! =( Makes me sad, he's growing up so fast.

Jayden and I mostly played, played, played all day long. He was really on the go all day long.

Great grandma (Yes, they live across the street from us) caught us out front playing in his walker, and decided to come play with Jayden.

He was a very happy little baby boy yesterday. Made playing with him, lots of fun!

He was a VERY hungry baby boy yesterday. Ate his typical amount of food, and milk, and THEN some. lol. Such a chunker baby I have. =)

In any case, onto today.

Well, like I said he was in bed at 8pm, and didn't wake until 6:45am! Let me just say, my boobs were thanking him for finally waking up! Not complaining, I'm loving the extra z's. I of course kept him in his crib until 8am. I really want him use to the whole 8pm-8am is time for sleeping. Habits are forming, so we are making sure he forms GOOD habits.

OH, I forgot about one little thing that happened yesterday. I laid Jayden down on his tummy to practice crawling about two feet from the couch. totally safe area. I then went into the bathroom to use it. I walked out and saw that he had rolled himself right into the couch, and he of course didn't like it. He had one leg extended and almost all the way, with his hands tightly gripping the couch. He was trying to figure out how to get his other leg up. He let go, and whoops, came tumbling down (only about half a foot) onto his toy. So we had a little red mark, that was it.

I was wondering, does anyone else think long term habits with their children. For example, we have the urge to go to our crying screaming child every time, or kiss the boo boos everytime, but does this help reassure our love and bond with and for them? Or does it just cause horrible habits to break in the future?

I know my in laws have GOOD intentions. I get it, they raised children. I get it. However, the way we raise children here and now, is SO vastly different than it was 20+ years ago. I think they forget that. Foods we ate back then, are not so much recommended, diets back then are changed to better more healthy balanced diets. Toys we played with, well they are safer now. I get it, they want to help, they have good intentions, but I think they forget, that 20+ years changes things.

This is a new time, a new era for children and parents. Children today are raised differently in the aspects mentioned above.

I really wish they would lay off my case about how and when I feed my child. I have a balanced diet worked out with the pediatrician, it's the recommended diet. It's especially important that we follow it simply because it helps us know what he likes/dislikes, what he has an allergy or intolerance to. It's my job as the mother to know these things, so my schedules and menu's help me stay on top of it. Call me neurotic, but it works.

Like I said I get it, they want to help, but things are done differently these days. I get yes you turned out okay, and your children did too, just these days, things are different.

Jayden likes to drink his milk between every 3-5 spoons of food. Is that really so bad? We do it as adults. Only makes sense if he wants to do it as well. right?

Jayden's teeth have been bothering him ALL day. He's been suck a little stinker all day. Very clingy, which is not good being laundry day.

He has been driving me up the bloody wall.

Anyways, he's awake from his nap, time to go get him. TTYL.
